Course Description
This course introduces the student to the system operating environments and maintenance procedures for the full range of ASL1000 and ASL3000 test systems. The class is presented as a combination of lectures and lab exercises.
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Understand safety and ESD procedures necessary to service the tester
- Identify key system components, test fixtures, and Field Replaceable Units (FRUs)
- Run diagnostics and verify the performance of the tester
- Use structured troubleshooting procedures to identify failing FRUs.
- Remove failing FRUs and install replacements
- Calibrate the tester and return it to service
- Contact Credence for 2nd level support, parts ordering and failed FRU return
Prerequisites
- 6 months maintenance experience servicing electronic test and measurement equipment.
