The Falcon IC test system is the ideal integration of digital test features, analog instrumentation, high current and high voltage capabilities, UNIX-based software, and advanced DSP technology.

Falcon delivers high throughput with a 200 MHz digital sequencer per channel architecture, and reduces test costs through its high-speed computer/tester interface, and parallel, multi-site, and concurrent test capabilities

Falcon instruments can be combined and configured for fast test times and maximum test floor flexibility. Instruments include specialized digital instruments with high voltage swings and PMU per pin architecture for automotive applications. Mixed-signal pin electronics instruments include DPINTM (digital focus), VPINTM (high voltage digital focus), and APINTM (analog high voltage and precision focus).

  • Gigalink: Gigalink™ is a high-speed serial bus system designed to provide high internal data transfer rates. Gigalink improves throughput and test times by up to 25%. It also enhances multi-site test capability.
  • SPACE™ Software: Falcon's SPACE software tools enable more effective debug and characterization and deliver quick and easy test development, enhancing engineering productivity. SPACE contains the Integrated Design Environment (IDE) software tool, which provides an easy-to-use and intuitive test program development flow. The implemented test program library supports the re-use of test program components to share IP cores and application knowledge across multiple devices. Also encompassed in this tool set is the Analog Wave Tool (AWT), a powerful design and display tool that enhances generation and calculation of analog waveforms. The AWT supports all DSP-based measurements and analysis. SPACE supports Solaris or LINUX operating systems. Test programs are source code compatible between both worlds.

Falcon GLX, the latest member of the Falcon test system family supports up to 256 DPIN16, up to 256 APIN16
